I have never been good with makeup. I've always been interested, and I've been using them for the longest time, but I never really put that much effort to try and come up with the best makeup products for me. Working in the corporate world, I sort of have to wear makeup since I face lots of people everyday. All those years of peering into the mirror and applying make up, I realize one thing,  my skin is not perfect! I need to go on a diet

A few days ago I noticed that when I took off my skirt, the garter left a mark along my belly. A sure sign that I need to lose weight and go on a diet! Hahaha. The garter was seriously pushing against my skin already that it caused some redness and abrasion! Argh!

Note to self: less carbs, less sweets, more exercise, more water, less sodas (even diet sodas!)

I really need to get some pounds off, time to dust off the Wii and dance to some Zumba music!

Bar Exam Passers 2011: Congrats to the New Lawyers!!

Results for the Bar Exams held last November 2011 were released a couple of days ago, and LOTS of new lawyers passed! 1913 to be exact. Wow! Congratulations to everybody!

31.95 percent of the 5,990 law graduates who took the test passed! Apparently this is tthe second highest passing rate since 2000. It is substantially higher than 2010's 20.26 percent.

Another issue here is that no UP Law graduates made it to the top ten. In the 2010 bar exams, three UP grads made it to the magic ten. I guess UP Law will have to up their game.

Two graduates of San Beda College law school were among the top ten, the only other school with more than one graduate on the hallowed list.

Raoul Angelo Atadero from Ateneo Law School emerged on top with 85.536 percent score.

My Long Overdue Purple Havaianas

Last Saturday, I met with some good friends from college. We were supposed to go on a cruise along Manila Bay and then go for dinner afterwards. Too bad we got stuck in the traffic jam along EDSA. We were supposed to be at the Folk Arts Theater at 4:30pm, but we were still in Estrella at 4:15pm. Tsk tsk tsk. It was only then that I remembered that there was also an international fireworks show in MOA and that is most probably the cause of the horrific traffic. I should know, we experienced this kind of traffic last year, when we went to watch the pyrotechnic display for the first and definitely last time. Travel from Makati to Manila alone took us 3 hours! Argh!

We decided to postpone our cruise, and just have dinner in Makati instead. Me and my friend, whose birthday falls in January, treated the rest of the barkada. I must admit though, I don’t feel the birthday vibes anymore, quite understandable since I celebrated my birthday last November! Haha.

Anyway, seeing my friends was a blast, as always! Chika to the max from the car to the restaurant to the coffee place… we never ran out of stories...and laughter! Plus, I got a long overdue gift from them: a purple and silver Havaianas slippers, my favorite color combination! Thanks guys!

Themed Baptism Celebration

Kiddie parties often have themes adapted from famous cartoon or story book characters. This has been a trend for some time now. When my little one celebrated her first birthday our party's theme was Sesame Street. Admittedly, the little one was too young to choose her party theme, so her loving momma stepped and chose it for her... ok ok... so sesame street characters are my favorite... =)

I was pleasantly surprised however when we witnessed an adorably themed Baptism in Sanctuario De San Antonio in Forbes Park Makati.
