St. Pio Chapel in Libis, Quezon City

I often visit hubby at work and we would park the car at the nearby pay-parking space within the grounds of St. Pio Chapel. i usually look at the chapel wondering what it looks like on the inside, but i never got to take a peek. earlier though, hubby and i decided to go inside, not knowing what to expect.

the chapel itself is very cozy. it is small and airconditioned, and you can tell that it is properly maintained. it is designed like the one in San Giovanni Rotondo. its facade is shaped like the Cross.

DSC01802

i don't really know St. Pio except that he was a capuchin mystic and that he bore the wounds of Jesus Christ or stigmata. Also, early this year, they exhumed his body from his grave to find that it has not been corrupted even after so many years have passed. a true sign of a saint!

when we got in the chapel it was so quiet and solemn. and when we approached his statue, i was getting goose bumps...

DSC01803

there was a pew set up in front of st. Pio's statue so that you can look at him as you kneel and pray and write down your petition on the provided papers. they also had the prayers for St. Pio ready for the devotees, with a replica(?) of his gloves framed, available to be touched by the devotees.

when st. Pio was still alive, he would wear gloves as he said mass so as to not frighten the people of his fresh wounds on the palms of his hands. since these gloves were in direct contact with his hands and his blood, they were preserved and are said to have since became instruments to many miracles.

the walls of the chapel is adorned with numerous testinomials by Filipinos healed through the intercession of St. Pio. From addiction, to cancer, to dengue... there was even a testimony coming from a childless couple who were finally blessed with a child after becoming devotees of St. Pio.

The chapel is maintained by businessman Ramon Escobar Rodriguez and his wife Didi Cloribel Rodriguez on their property on 188 E. Rodriguez Ave., Bagumbayan, Quezon City. They were also recipients of God's grace through a miracle.

It all began when Ramon Rodriguez experienced St. Padre Pio’s miracle in 1979. At that time, Ramon was not an active church goer, even when he suffered high blood pressure of 240/130 that caused blindness in his right eye and blurred vision in his left, he didn’t go down on his knees to pray for help.

A friend then gave him a novena to Padre Pio, out of curiosity, he picked up the novena and wondered who Padre Pio was. Unconsciously he was reading the novena and wondered why he was able to read it. When he went to his ophthalmologist and he was told that he was cured. He could already see clearly.

Right then and there, Ramon promised Padre Pio that he would pray his novena everyday and that he would venerate Padre Pio for the rest of his life.

In 1983, Ramon and Didi put up the Philippine Centre of Padre Pio. First, they used a space in their building and converted it into a chapel. now the chapel has grown on a 2,000 sq m area that included a garden which is called Padre Alessio Garden.

DSC01663

DSC01656

they also had the bloody and realistic crucifix that again gave me the goosebumps, and a statue of St. Pio.

DSC01660

it was said that a after the statue was placed there in the chapel garden, red liquid was found to have oozed on his head and nape. they had pictures, but they didn't really claim it was blood.

The new chapel was officially blessed on Sept. 23, 2007, death anniversary of Padre Pio who died on Sept. 23, 1968.

Come and visit the chapel and experience it for yourself.

Am also a devotee of Padre Pio. Just last Sunday - Easter Sunday - the Capuchin General from Italy sent Padre Antonio (surname?), a Capuchin priest to give the Philippine Center of St. Pio two relics - St. Pio's habit and a cloth used to clean his wounds.

The priest who came from San Giovanni, Rotondo Italy was Fr. Antonio Pompillo OFM Capuchin.

I got scared when my monthly period lasted for more than 3 weeks because this is not normal. What I did was to pray the rosary which I do everyday, go to hear mass at Angin, Naguilian, La Union and have my monthly confession. It so happened during that Sunday that pictures of Padre Pio were placed in front with stationeries where we could write our petitions were also available. Also. handkerchiefs with Padre Pio's face were sold. Anyway, I asked Padre Pio to stop my abnormal bleeding as I saw this as a sign of my imminent death. A week later, I came to Manila, still bleeding. I went to Tayuman to buy Mama Mary's miraculous medal when I saw padre Pio's novena. I bought and went over the novena and saw prayers for healing and prayed to him that he would stop my bleeding since it's already 1 month that i've been bleeding. I prayed with my heart and soul. The following day, I noticed that my bleeding was diminishing. The next day, no more blood. On the third day, my pantyliner was totally clean. Oh my God, Padre Pio gave me a miracle. I believe this.I'm going to visit his church in Libis and ask him to adopt me as his spiritual child. Also, I will ask for more miracles. I gave my friend who will undergo a surgical procedure the novena I bought to spread devotion to him. She doesn't know him but I told her that he is very powerful.I am really very happy that he heard my prayer.

my first time in St. Pio Chapel was last march 8, 2009, 2 days before the first session of my radiation.since then up to the present my family hear our sunday mass in this solemn and beautiful chapel.and to help (in my own little way)propagating devotion to St. Pio i'm giving the prayer to St. Pio with the novena to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, to whoever i meet in the adoration chapel in our place. i'm doing this beacause i believe that St. Pio helped & is helping me. i'm stage4 breast cancer patient with multiple bone metastasis. i underwent 9 cycles of chemotherapy and 33 sessions of radiotherapy. one month after my radiation i had series of tests.before every test i put holy oil of St. Pio all over my body.the results of my tests are okey except for the lesions found on my sternum.but i dont take it seriously because i know that St. Pio is helping me get through this.in fact my oncologist told me that my case is a miracle and i should not have reach december2008 alive.
Thank you Sacred Heart of Jesus, thank you Mama Mary and Thank You St. Pio.

Hi Karen,

If you were coming from Cubao, take a jeepney with Rosario signage in Alimall or Aurora Blvd then ask the driver to drop you at E. Rodriguez Jr. Ave in front of Floor Center and Honda. There's a pink MMDA overpass before you get to Floor Center. The Chapel is on the opposite side of E. Rodriguez, God Bless and have a safe trip, see you there :)

I would to thank the saint by attending mass with the ubfortunate in Bulacan who are sick. Can a special mass be arranged? How much will it cost?

i learned about padre pio in Rated K, 5 days before me and my daughter was about to leave for Abu Dhabi, i research for the exact address, and thank God its not too far from our place in Angono, Rizal, i went Tuesday Sept. 14 start of his Novena for his Feast day. I brought novena prayer and his image, i went there to ask for a favor...a favor for another baby, my daughter is already 5 yrs old and we are wishing for it for almost 3 years, the seller told me that even i cannot have a novena at the chapel, i should do it, that's what i did. God is good and through Padre Pio's intercession, i am now 3 and a half month pregnant, the first two months was been difficult to me, im bleeding and i had an abdominal pain that i have to be admitted at the emergency and the doctors told me that my cervix is open that im inevitable for miscarriage, all i did was to pray and again ask padre pio to guide me, true enough He's always guiding me, right now, i am in moderate bed rest and everytime i feel bad about my condition, i always ask Padre Pio for his intercession, his oils make miracle, everytime i feel uncomfortable on my tummy i will put some. even we are here in Abu Dhabi my mother still give time to visit Padre Pio. Thank you Padre Pio for touching my life, Thank God for letting me know Padre Pio.

What is Padre Pio's day of devotion?

I've started reading the life of Padre Pio 3 weeks ago and his story touched me.

I'm encouraging my friends to pray to Padre Pio and in fact, one of my goals is to give copies of novena to anyone who needs it.

according to their website:
* The St. Pio Chapel is open daily from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm

Check this site for the sched of masses.

I would like to take this opportunity to the Rodriguez family for sharing the relics that was entrusted to them. It indeed touched many Filipino lives

Hello,
23 anyway sana makapunta din kami sa chapel na yan ng wife ko. we also need a miracle, we've been married for more than 3 years now. wla parin kming baby. im some how starting my devotion to Padre Pio. my wife is suffering from blocked fallopian tubes that's why wala pa rin kami baby.
i remember the time when my wife is under going histerosalpingogram, the procedure that aims to push her fallopial blockages, di ako pinayagang sumama sa loob ng operating room, kaya i just went to the hospital's chapel ( st.lukes) para i-pour out lahat ng nararamdaman kong frustration at kawalan ng pag-asa. somehow i questioned st. pio, sabi ko sa kania, "naririrnig mo ba talaga ang mga prayers ko sa yo?" " Parang pinabayaan mo na ko!" I just cried my heart out dahil na rin sa frustration at bigat ng nararamdaman ko. then nung tumayo na ako sa kneeler at tumalikod para lumabas ng chapel, sa exact location kung saan ako lumuhod, naroroon pala sa likod ko yung image ni st.pio. I failed to notice it the first time i enter the chapel. the moment i saw him, i just cried and touch his image. in my heart, he spoke, " Di naman kita pinabayaan at kinalimutan, nakakarating sa Panginoon lahat ng panalangin mo, kailangan mo lang manalig at patuloy na maghintay. Sasamahan kita.

My first visit to His chapel was last September 19, 2009 and since then every Saturday na ko nagpupunta and minsan Sunday pag may time lumuwas ng Manila.

January 2, 2010 our first visit after New Year, humiling lang po ako na sana sa 2010 ay mabago ng kahit konti ang aming pamumuhay, matagal na rin kasi ako nagwowork (15 years na to be exact) pero ganon pa rin, halos sapat-sapat lang ang sinusweldo ko para sa pamilya and sa pang araw-araw na pangangailangan.

Saturday, September 4, 2010 - I can't really imagine, nagpa bless ako ng brand new car, tinupad nya ang wish namin na mabago ang takbo ng buhay namin kahit konti lang, actually hind lang kokonti ang binigay nya, sobra sobra pa, nag resign na po ako sa dati kong work October 2010, ngayon full time na ko sa aming business and truly, he gave so many miracles to our lives, kaya ngayon sineshare lang namin ang mga blessings na natatanggap namin. Super thankful talaga kami Saint Pio.

Ngayon every Sunday na kami nagpupunta para magsimba, sineshare ko rin ang Chapel sa ibang mga nangangailangan ng miracles. God bless us all.

I heard about Padre Pio over DZMM radio when Ramon Rodriguez guested in a religious program where he talked of his healed blindness.
Me and my family visited him last December,2010. Lately, my wife viewed another program about prayer requests thru novena that were granted.
We have been attending Simbang Gabi and completing 9 mornings for years and visita iglesia prayers also as long and praying about healthy enrollment in our small school in Marikina that diminishes each year. We probably were not praying very hard or we were not as sincere as should be.
Now, we are on our 2nd day in our novena to Padre Pio and praying for health: for each family member, family relationship and of course, healthy enrollment enough to cover needs of the school not only for SY 2011-12 but -- as much as possible -- continuing.
I promise to report here as soon as we get the prayers granted. Thank you very much.

I am a living testimony of St. Pio's Blessings through His intercession to our Lord Jesus Christ. Many times I received miracles which I couldn't imagine. There were petitions unanswered but there were better Blessings that came. Just be sincere and faithful and you will receive countless Blessings. St Joseph & Mama Mary Thank you also for your intercession

I started attending mass at St. Pio Chapel last June 2011. I'm working in Inmed along Bagumbayan, I heard so much miracles about St. Pio from my officemates. Sabi sakin ng 1 ka-officemate ko, i-try ko daw magsimba sa St. Pio Chapel, so we went there.. I was amazed! Iba tlga ang ambiance sa loob, it's so holy.. I prayed St. Pio's novena, mabilis nyang sinagot ang mga panalangin ko..I'm so thankful, hanggang ngayon, God never failed to answer my prayers. Tuwing magsisimba ako sa St. Pio, nanalangin ako na matapat kay Mr. Ramon, ilang beses na'ko nagsisimba hindi ako matapat sa kanya, ayoko naman makipag-agawan sa mga pila..hehe.. i prayed, if it's meant to be na matapat ako kay Mr. Ramon, then it's meant to be, i told myself mas maraming nangangailangan ng prayers ni Mr. Ramon kaysa sakin..kung matatapat ako kay Mr. Ramon sa pagpahid ng oil, it only means that is God's will! :) and for sure, may message sakin si God kapag kay Mr. Ramon ako natapat.. :) until last August 11, 2011, nakaramdam ako ng kaba habang nagsisimba ako, I was not expecting na nandun si Mr. Ramon! :) feeling ko eto na ang matagal kong hinihintay! and yes! sa kanya nga ako natapat after mass! :) habang nakapila ako, I was praying to God through St. Pio's intercession..sabi ko, Lord alam ko may message kau sakin, kaya dito ako natapat kay Mr. Ramon..super laming ng mga kamay ko sa sobrang kaba! When it's my turn na, Mr. Ramon said to me, "Remove all your wearies, remove all your doubts, remove all your fears, show yourself to Him.." umiyak na'ko, hindi ko na tlga napigilan. paulit ulit nyang sinabi yun.. sabi rin ni Mr. Ramon, Lord show yourself..he also repeatedly said, 'grant her request'.. super cry na tlga 'ko.. Mr. Ramon is looking into my left hand saying, "let me see it, let me see it.. (hindi ko alam kung ano ang hinahanap nya sa left hand ko).. then Mr. Ramon said to me, "mag pray ka daw ng 1 Rosary kay Mama Mary she will grant your request".. iyak pa rin ako ng iyak.. I thanked Mr. Ramon, I felt his sincerity when he prayed for me..then I proceed to adoration, crying, thanking God for this opportunity & for all the blessings.. truly God answers our prayers in His own way, and not by the way we wanted it to be answered.. Si Lord, mas alam Nya kung paano sasagutin ang mga prayers natin..we just need to wait and to put our full trust to Him, God will never fail to hear our prayers.. I thanked God pinakilala nya sakin si St. Pio.. I'm proud to say, I am a devotee of St. Pio now! I took Mr. Ramon's advise, remove all my worries, doubts & fears! I believe, ito ang mga message ni God for me! He used Mr. Ramon as instrument! I feel so blessed! :)

My family from Batangas will be celebrating New year in Marikina with my in-laws, so we planned to pass by Fr. Pio's chapel after lunch on Dec. 31, 2011 before proceeding to Marikina. I learned about this chapel during one of the segment featured by ABS-CBN and the location through my sister. When I entered the chapel, got goose bumps and cried when I touched hands of Fr. Pio's image while asking for healing. While touring the place, I saw a man walking in the Gethsemane area, we are only three persons there, my youngest son, me and that man. My son whispered to me that he think he is the man in the picture in the chapel. I looked at that man and recognized him to be SIR RAMON, so I immediately approached him, introduced myself, gave a short background on how I'd known him(of course, asked picture with him). Thanks God I have my SLR cam that
time, so I have the chance to take pictures of Fr. Pio, the chapel and of course,Sir Ramon. I'm so blessed that day because Sir Ramon was so accomodating and took the initiative of touring me to the place and explaining every details, the images, meanings of the angels and their positions which according to him he just ordered somebody to make 5 angels without giving specific details, but came out to fit it's purpose( 2 angels looking at Fr. Pio image lying in his coffin, Angel kneeling in front of the cross, angel looking at Jesus and an Angel welcoming visitors like me in the door). He even asked me to focus on the PIETA picture on the wall and was told that he got it from Lipa Cathedral(of course, I was touched and at the same time felt proud since it originated from Batangas), he let me feel the agony in the face of Mama Mary, why so many nails in the cross compared to the cross
in Rome, why many rosaries hanging on the fence around Fr. Pio's statue which according to him started with only one rosary which he saw in the pathway one afternoon while he had just closed the chapel door.He presumed that it belongs to one of the visitors, so he hanged it in the fence, so, that person will see it when She/he come again for visit. But, to his surprise,it became three the following day, until it grew in numbers. When Sir Ramon had a chance to see a man hanging his rosary in the fence, he approached the man and asked him
why he is doing that and that man told him that his prayer was answered and this is his way of thanking Fr. Pio, just like what others were doing in Lourds, leaving their crutches. Many more...Had a wonderful and blessed day that day with Sir Ramon. I promised to go back to that place soon.

I can consider Padre Pio as one of our greatest blessings that me and my family received from LORD JESUS CHRIST. I've experienced numerous miracles from Padre Pio, and he actually gave me more than I've asked for. And this is also for my entire family. Been in Padre Pio Centre more than 5-7 times and the last time I visited was yesterday Feb 25, 2012 with my family and relatives. I was teary eyed as I drew nearer to his statue near the altar, I dnt know but I felt that Im overwhelmed with his presence. I will be forever grateful to LORD JESUS CHRIST and mama mary for letting me know Padre Pio and experience miracles that I can't even imagine because I dnt even deserve those but still miracles have been continuously outpouring.
