little girl in her pj's
i just want to share this pic. it was taken one early sunday morning. little bea was still in her pj's when she decided she wanted to ride her bike while we were waiting for her yaya, who went out to hear mass. her pj's was a gift from her lola yee for her birthday. though it's still a bit too big for her, i love it when she wears it, she looks all grown up!

photohunt :: wooden
this week's entry is wooden. these are pics of my little girl's wooden high chair. we couldn't buy the pretty, branded kinds so when we needed one, we opted to buy a cheaper wooden one. it serves its purpose, up to now. =) this chair is the symbol of our family's battle with bea's GERD or acid reflux. this is one of the few places bea hates the most, because she knows that when she is placed on the chair, it's eating/milk drinking time, which she still abhors up to now...

park fun
last sunday, our family took a break and went to the qc memorial circle. this was bea's first time to go to a park. here's a pic of daddy and bea while taking a rest, they just finished running on the grass. actually bea was running around all excited, daddy was just running after her!
fun! fun!

how did you spend valentine's day?
our valentine's day this year was different. we spent it at home. hehehe. no dates. no fancy dinners. no flowers. actually i did receive chocolates and flowers from thoughtful officemates =) we just bought pizza and tried to come home as early as possible so that we can have dinner with the family and little girl, maybe a little videoke session to make it more fun. sadly we got home just before 8pm (still early for our standards!) but the little girl was already asleep, they already had their dinner, and everyone's in their room already. what i planned as a fun night with the family turned out to be a regular night in front of the tv, with hubby. we should've just spent our money watching a movie intead of buying pizza. oh, well, that didn't stop me though, while hubby was happily eating, i sang my heart out anyway. =) my latest dream date: redbox! =)
so our valentine's date turned out to be videoke night for hubby and me. =)
the truth is that even though hubby didn't get me anything this year, i didn't mind. i knew in my heart that if he could (if work didn't take up ALL of his time), he would've. (excuses excuses... hahaha!) hmmm. does this mean i'm becoming more matured and understanding.... so unbecoming of me! =)
overdue birthday pics and kwento
ok, here are some of the pics from little girl's birthday. =)
her theme this year was dora the explorer. even though we held her party at home, i just thought it'd be fun to have a theme. so the night before, hubby and i bought dora stuff. ( i know, we were sooo prepared as always! ) we asked her guests to come for lunch sunday, saturday i was still at the office, rendering overtime, whole day! grrr... anyway, back to the party, we bought a dora banner, loot bags, paper plates, paper cups, party hats and stuff to put in loot bags (stickers, pencils and what-not). i also bought her a dora blouse and socks.
sunday morning was a blur of activities: i set up the banner, ninang prepared the table, lolo and daddy helped set up the tables and chairs we rented, daddy received and paid for the food we had delivered, we picked up the cake from goldilocks (tipid!) and balloons from ninang apple, picked up the pancit malabon, made a quick stop at the grocery for some plastic cups, spoons and forks, and lastly we bought some plastic balloons and bubbles for the kids at the nearby palengke...when we got home, guests were already there! hehehe, late pa rin?!
our menu: pancit malabon, inihaw na liempo, bbq, lumpiang sariwa, chicken lollipop, beef lasagna, embutido, laing, kinilaw and cake, ice cream and fruit salad for dessert. i know, not your usual kiddie party menu, but the laing and kinilaw were for our balikbayan tito and tita, it was also some sort of despedida for them =)
anyway, it was a fun day! bea got to play with her cousins from daddy's side of the family, also with kinakapatid, ate pauline. =) too bad cousins trish and trixie couldn't come.

we have been practicing the whole week for the candle blowing, but when it was time to blow the candles, little girl was too overwhelmed, so mommy came to her aid. =)

little girl's birthday
my girl is two years old! hehehe...
and i've been remiss about blogging about it. the party happened last week. it's just a simple gathering of family and friends. i would've loved to organize a grand party for her like her first one, but due to budget constraints, we just opted for a simple one.
will blog about more details. and will post pics soon =)
